Employee Wellness Initiatives

The health and wellness of our staff members is of great importance to us. Maintaining a work-life balance is not always easy. To ensure staff have access to initiatives or programmes to assist them we have the following in place:

Employee Assistance Programme – Our wellness service provider provides a confidential, 24-hours a day, 365 days a year personal support and information service. It’s there whenever you may need it. It offers multilingual access to telephone, face to face counselling and Life Management. Information and guidance is provided on financial and legal matters, relationships, family matters, substance abuse, work, stress, trauma, debt and health issues.

Health and Wellness Awareness Days – These events are arranged during the course of the year where the focus is on health screening, visual screening, massage therapy, stress assessment, nutritional advice, fitness consulting, blood donation and other health information. The goal of the health and wellness day is to provide specific, individualised health information to help employees improve their own health status.

Awareness campaigns - During the year the staff participate in other awareness campaigns such as World Aids Day, Women’s Day, Youth Day to mention a few.

Team Building – Each department has a team building budget, which in consultation with staff can be used for an activity to enhance team spirit. The company provides the funding for these activities. It is a time to have fun and to get to interact with colleagues on a social level.
